breakthrough

So, the latest "sleep" book I've been reading in an effort to improve Molly's sleep habits suggests a crazy early bedtime to help correct sleep problems (5:30 sometimes!). So on Sunday we put Molly down at 6:30 p.m., and besides for the screaming fit from 7:45-8:15, she only woke up to eat at 1:40 and 5:40!

Well, you would be impressed if you knew her sleeping had regressed to the point that I was getting up every 1-2 hours.

Last night, we put her down at 7:15, and besides for basically screaming until 8:45 (yes, that's an hour and a half - not fun) she slept until 3:45!! (after that she didn't sleep wonderfully, but oh well) Stop the presses, she slept SEVEN hours in a row, meaning I slept six hours without having to get up - probably the most straight in four months. I think we're on to something.

Oh, and Molly's latest funny noise reminds me of this scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where they're translating the writings on the wall of the cave and it says the holy grail can be found in the Castle of Auuuuggghhhhh.
"He must've died while carving it!"

some more stuff

Yesterday, JC qualified for the Texas Mid-Am Golf Tournament! He shot one under par at the qualifier yesterday (scored 70). WOW! We'll be taking a little trip to Austin in September for the mid-am. I'm so proud!

Here's a little video of Me, Molly, Cookie and Jojo - it was kind of late at night the first day we got to Saratoga, so we're a little delirious, but she was cracking us up!

We're back!

Well... we've been back since Thursday. But we're back on the blog, finally! Sorry it took me so long.

Molly is growing so fast! She's grabbing her feet all the time - they're her favorite toys. Her hands are a close second, although she does like grabbing toys now. And she recently started screaming - not necessarily upset screaming (although sometimes it is), but it's more like she found out how to make a really, really loud noise and loves it! It was cute at first, but now I'm going deaf and it's not as funny. :)

We had a great trip to Saratoga, NY with most all of JC's family!! And we even got to take a day trip to NYC, which was my first time there, believe it or not. It was great! Totally exhausting, but great to see it. And as a bonus, we got to see a good friend from college, Katie!

Below are pictures from when I last posted... it starts out random and then you'll see when we get to saratoga. The horse races were fun! It reminded me of the scene in My Fair Lady (watch it here!) Okay, so not QUITE like that, but a little bit :) haha.

We also celebrated with a party for Jojo and Pops' 50th wedding anniversary! It was absolutely beautiful. They are our fourth set of grandparents to celebrate their 50th anniversary and we're so blessed to have such examples of commitment and love. They had a photographer there so hopefully I'll have some pictures soon.

Here we go:

week 14

Molly is fourteen weeks old today. This past week I've noticed a lot of changes!

Of course, The Rollover was big. She's also grabbing our fingers and some toys without us putting them in her hand (does that make sense?).

Here are some pictures!

rolled over!

Molly just rolled over this morning, tummy to back! I guess that's a good thing about hating her tummy time. I was so excited I scooped her up and went to get my phone to let JC know. And then I put her down to see if it was a fluke, but she did it again! I know all my blog readers are just ecstatic, so I'll try to get a video of it. :)
