Hello Miss Molly
At 2:38 this morning, Miss Molly Charlotte Crawford was born into the world. Mom had a relatively brief 5 hr labor and both mom and baby are doing great! We brought Molly home this morning around 9:45 and have spent the rest of the day sleeping and soaking up the snuggles with our new precious baby girl.
We have been blessed with help from both grandmothers, so Sarah and I can just rest and be with Molly.
Sorry for the brief post. More info will be coming. I promise.

39 weeks, 5 days
Had our appointment today - still 3cm dilated and 75-80% (a little more) effaced. The baby's head has moved farther down, though (-1 station).
This time the midwife got the heartbeat right at the front of my belly, which means he's facing towards my back - the right way - hooray!
We're ready whenever you are, BC!!

39 weeks!
We had our appointment this morning... I'm 3cm dilated and 70% effaced! Yay! (Baby is mini watermelon this week, by the way)
I was measuring small again... well I've been measuring small the whole time, but my "fundal height" hadn't changed in the past three weeks, so they sent us for another sonogram. They were able to get JC and I right over, so at least we didn't have to wait and worry for a couple days like last time.
Baby and amniotic fluid levels are great!! Measuring 6 lbs 9 oz, which apparently doesn't really mean much about what baby actually weighs. When I mentioned to the doctor I was 3cm, he said - I'll bet you've shaved off 10 hours of labor with that progress already. (!!!) So, I'd say a very happy and relieving 39 week check-up :)
Oh, and the baby is a little sideways and the head isn't quite "engaged" yet, but not posterior anymore. I'm still supposed to do my hands and knees exercises to encourage him to straighten out, but it's not anything to raise concern!
I'm in high nesting gear... it's lead to some funny crafting. See the diaper caddy I made on the left. And the labeling below. haha!
I feel so blessed to be able to take these couple weeks off to prepare, and also thank the Lord I am still feeling well. It's not like I'm miserable over here... on the contrary, I'm really enjoying every day and so excited!!

pregnant brain effects
This is the cabinet where we keep our glassware. JC found the orange juice in it after church a couple weeks ago. Apparently he thought it was so funny he had to document it.
I have no recollection of putting it in there and completely blame my pregnancy brain!
By the way, I'm not feeling any different than a few days ago... Just getting more and more ready to have this baby :)

38 weeks update
Hey everyone!
At my appt. today I was 50% effaced and 2 cm dilated. So things are moving right along! Exciting!!
Baby Crawford is posterior (head is down, but facing forward instead of toward my spine) which could make labor more difficult if baby doesn't turn. She gave us exercises to try and coax baby around. So we'd appreciate your prayers that baby would flip around and face the right way!
The midwife wasn't worried about baby being posterior - partly because baby is small - her estimate is 6 lbs at this point.
Thanks for keeping up with us!

retirement and 37 weeks!
Today is my last day of work! I can hardly believe it. Free Market's been a great place to work for the past 2 1/2 years and I'm going to miss everyone!!
At my appointment on Monday, I found out I am very effaced, though not yet dilated (I won't give you the gory details, so if you want to know what that means you'll have to utilize google), and baby's head is way down, ready to go! Because of the progress, the midwife predicted (while saying no one ever really knows) I'd deliver around 38 weeks - HELLO, that's a week from now! She said to make sure we're ready but that I could definitely still go past my due date - stranger things have happened.
After my appointment I immediately called and made appointments to "interview" two pediatricians (Don't judge me, I hadn't done it yet), bought our diaper bag, and went to wal-mart to get all the lovely supplies we'll need for labor/delivery/postpartum. Tuesday night I did all our baby laundry and registered for our birth at Baylor (just in case we are transported).
I am having a really hard time believing it'll be next week. I just don't feel uncomfortable enough, like they say you'll be the month before you give birth. I could have three more weeks to get miserable though, so I will count my blessings when I can!!
OH BOY (or girl)!
